(Raleigh, NC) Hi 79 Lo 59 -- This morning we both continued to work on backing up my laptop PC and loading programs to the backup laptop that Jim did a reformat on a few months ago. I'm going to have Windows 7 installed, and that takes quite a bit of preparation.
A motorhome came in today and parked several spaces down from us. A few minutes later they moved to the other end of the park, then another few minutes later they moved again and parked right behind us. We have no idea why. There's over 50 sites with only four RV's and they parked right behind our back window. Odd.
This afternoon we had a couple of friends come over for a visit. It was great seeing Michelle and John again. I forgot to take their picture. Michelle is an ex-coworker of Jim's from his days at Progress Energy. After catching up on all of our doings during the last six months they left, and it was time to go pick up my mom and go to another friend's house for dinner.
Jim (another Jim) and Clara were my bosses in one of the many jobs I had in my former life. She's another great Southern cook and we had a feast! The table was loaded with roast chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, beets, rice, strawberry jello, and for dessert apple pie with ice cream. We spent the evening with them talking about our travels and future plans.
Clara and Jim.
Snowball, their beautiful white cat, likes to sleep in a tray in front of the window. I just had to take a picture.
This is my mom Vena enjoying the company.
These flowers are Amarillos (we think). They're gorgeous.
After a wonderful evening of socializing we said our goodbyes. Thanks Jim and Clara for a fantastic dinner and great evening. Tomorrow is a hectic day, which includes getting the tires ordered, finally.
