(Wauchula, FL) - It was so great staying in bed later this morning. It warms up by the time I get up and the day goes so much faster.
I know it looks like we've been celebrating a lot of "one year anniversaries," but I'm taking it in steps. The first was when we sold the condo, then got the RV, and yesterday's blog was about moving into the RV. The next one will be getting on the road, which will be in March. Thank you for following along as we celebrate each big milestone in our life journey. I love going back through the blogs and reading what we did and thought at the time of each event. (The link to archives is at the bottom of this page on the right side.)
We both did some walking and enjoyed the 81 degree temperature today. Jim did the laundry and I went to get groceries. I went to Winn-Dixie instead of Walmart. I compared prices for the exact items and even using my Winn-Dixie customer discount card I would have saved more by going to Walmart. I usually always to go Walmart, but I wanted to do an A/B comparison.
The state of Florida badly needs rain. Some of the citrus farmers spray water on their fruit before a hard freeze. This creates an icy shell that prevents freeze damage to the fruit. There's such a water shortage that they may be restricted from doing this and would have to cover the crops with cheesecloth instead.
We're settling in and not going to do much until after Christmas. There are a few activities going on in the park clubhouse that we might take part in. A couple more RV's pulled in but we haven't met them yet. Now that it's warmer we'll look for them sitting outside and go meet them. I hope you follow us during the quiet time. The blog may not be very exciting for a while but I'll still post what we do.
It's so nice out! We're thankful to be back to shorts and t-shirts in our little place in paradise.

Enjoy it and think of me here in the cold, cold north!
Congats for making on to the Hitchitch website for the second time, it must be because you're twice as good as the other blogs! ;c)
Glad to hear you are all settled in for awhile. Enjoy those warm temps!
I remember last year when the farmers sprayed their crops to protect them from the freeze, it caused many many sinkholes.
Glad you're enjoying the weather. We've not been able to get outside and enjoy it much, unfortunately.
Well, I don't know about Wachula, but we're getting rain in Davenport right now. I'm hoping it will turn the grass green again. Florida rain doesn't usually last too long, so hopefully we'll see the sun back out this afternoon - just another day in paradise.
How exciting to reach your one year mark! I remember you guys just starting out and all the fun and adventures since then!!!
