Visit From a Special Friend

(Fair Oaks, IN) - We didn’t sleep much. The storms in Chicago finally came down to visit us and all night it was either pouring rain or really quiet except the drips from the trees.  Only one good storm and that was as we were getting into bed at midnight.

I figured something out this morning that's really funny.  There is free wifi available but we usually have to go over to the office/rec hall to use it.  We're in site #1, which is about a hundred feet from the office, and sometimes we can pick up the signal in our rig.  But it doesn't last long before it drops.  I didn't think much about it.  This morning I was picking up the signal pretty strong when it went away all of sudden.  I looked our our window at the office and their door was shut.  Then it hit me that when they leave the office and close the door the signal goes away.  I tried it several times throughout the day and, sure enough that's exactly what happens.  Now we know.

We didn’t do much all morning.  I waited anxiously this afternoon for our friend Shelly to arrive.  Shelly was our babysitter when we were in Florida back in the late 1970's.  We stayed friends and we try to see her whenever we can.  She lives about an hour from us.  She’s very special to us, and is working on her masters degree in Human Resources, along with working full time.  Her son  Michael came with her today.  He's a student at Purdue University.

They got here about 4:00.  Jim grilled dinner for us, then we walked the park and sat by the lake catching up on our lives.  We’ll see her quite a bit when we move to Indiana Dunes in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Shelly for coming down today.  I can’t wait to get up to your area in a couple weeks.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one still up blogging!

Oh what a nice visit with a special person from your past!

Question on the wifi=== could their door be metal and the signal does not go through it from the router or repeater they have in the office?

Might be nice to mention it to them that you figured it out. It's either that or whenever they leave, they shut off the computer? LOL
