Pre-Rally RV-Dreams

Just to let everyone know, we're at the RV-Dreams rally and the blog WILL BE POSTED, but it may not be the same time everyday, so please keep checking back.

We got a later start this morning than usual for a travel day. It was about 10am when we pulled out. We're both feeling a little better about our departure routine. The more we do it the better we get, that goes for hitching and getting on the road.

We got to Willow Tree RV Resort in Longs, SC at about 1:36. We're here for the 2010 RV-Dreams Rally, organized by Howard and Linda Payne, owners of the RV-Dreams web site. We got set up, ate some lunch and walked to the clubhouse to check things out. This place is awesome! We have a great site, with a beautiful view of the lake out our back window. We're also very close to the clubhouse, where all the Rally events will be held.

This view is from the left side of our home
This is the right side
We found Linda teaching several ladies how to bead, but the class was almost over by the time we got there.

Jim was watching Rick ride his Trikke, a new kind of scooter/bike. It's a great way to exercise since you use your entire upper body by swinging your weight to make it move. Quite an interesting way to get around a park.
We met at Howard & Linda's site for a get together till it was time to get dinner. There's going to be a more than 100 people here by tomorrow night. We went over to Cindy and Ken's RV for dinner. Linda joined us and we talked well into the dark hour.

After a great time of fellowship, we broke up for the evening. There are no lights in the park, so it's very dark. With Linda's help, we felt our way along the dark road back to our home, where we kicked back for a little while before turning in. The next few days should be very exciting.

Boy oh boy sure wish we were there too!

Guess after those late into the night gab sessions, you have to take along a flashlight in your pocket to get back home--- LOL
