Day 1 RV-Dreams Rally

This place is so quiet, so dark that we saw stars in the sky (been a long time) and we both noticed the dead silence all night. It's great sleeping with no distractions from traffic and hearing anyone else near us.

We went to the grocery store, then over to the clubhouse for registration. I met a lot of the people coming in all morning. This is just some of the 108 people registering. There has been a few cancellations today.

Howard's mom Anita taught me and several of others how to braid the edges of t-shirts. I'll have more on that in a later blog.

Ken, Jim and Rick taking a break while waiting for the spouses. It's a great day, nice breeze. They had the right idea.

Pool and hot tub area.

Here's a couple Bald eagles flying above us. The nest is on the other side of the lake. (click on the picture to enlarge).
At 6:00 we had a catered dinner, which was really great. It consisted of pork BBQ, rice/chicken, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, rolls, and peach cobbler. We laughed and played games as ice breakers.

Everyone left by 9:00pm to either their homes, hotels or the cottages. The pictures are of the food line and tables of people at the dinner.
I'm hoping to have individual pictures tomorrow night. I'm trying to get as many couples as possible to share in a collage.
