Christmas Eve - Cleaning - Looking for Place to Eat

Merry Christmas Eve to all our readers. We wish you safe travels and fun with family and friends. We didn't think much about Christmas this year, we're settling in the RV and still working with learning it. That's our Christmas present.

We got up about 9:30 and our routine will be pretty much the same as everyone. First it's hit the computers for what's happened overnight with facebook and emails. After breakfast we start the day. Jim wanted to get the outside taken care of with the first black tank dumping. That went very well, only a little drip from the extender. Jim picked up the sidewinder when he got propane yesterday. Some have the eves trough but he wanted to start out with the sidewinder to save room in the basement, so he got that all setup then dumped both tanks.

Jim also took everything out of the basement that we just threw into it. He sorted and put the little stuff in the big tubs. He did a wonderful job getting it altogether. He ran the little air compressor to be sure it worked. He said it's neat getting it all organized and ready for our travels. Beware to those that will be meeting us in Texas, he has questions.

I organized the inside and put away some little stuff that I brought over from the apartment yesterday. Some things I won't be using but I wanted to bring it here to sort it. We're both feeling at home and quite comfortable. Thanks to youtube and forums we're getting it together.

At 2:00 we left to get mom and meet up with another friend for dinner. We called in advance and found out Cracker Barrel was open till 6:00 so we wanted to be there by 4:00. When we arrived, they were closing and there wasn't anything else around that was open except Hooters. It was a great meal, but very loud music. We were just glad to find something open. Our friend went on home and was hoping to order pizza. I feel sorry for those that have to work on Christmas Eve, but glad someone was open that early so we could eat.

This is Vena, my mom ready to go out to eat with us.

Jim is waiting to head out to eat.

We came back to the RV after dinner and will go back to mom's for Christmas tomorrow. We hooked up to city water and won't unhook till Sunday night. We're having temperatures in the 50's during the day and just above 32 at night.

Days left before heading to Texas 50
