Office Stuff

Now this morning is what I'm hoping to do when we retire. The perfect day, wake up about 6:00, then go back to sleep till I feel like getting up. I did get up about 9 and well rested, ahhh this is the life. BUT, I had to be at work by 1:00pm. I scheduled myself to get a few things done like a couple TV shows watched, then chatted with Speedy (Joe) from RV-Dreams chatroom and Deb also came online then Sandra, what a great time! That's the perfect morning.

The next three days will be all about the workplace, moving to another location. We're all excited about the move, getting more room is a good thing. I need to bring you up to date on a couple items. Our newest engineer that just had the twins has decided to work a few hours extra a week so he can have one day off a week. He's also still coming in late and taking time off to do his own thing a couple times a week. He's not getting any sleep or very little (he says he needs 10 hours a night) so he's mentally half there during the day. That's NOT good in keeping a job. I was told today to get another ad out for another engineer. Let's see what REALLY happens.

I met with the moving people today with Mrs Boss and it's going to be more involved than I thought it would be. We do have to pack everything OUT of the desks and everything has to have a number on it. The number will correspond to the new area rooms and cubicles. Tomorrow we start numbering the layout sheet then my job will be to coordinate the boxes and have them stacked in numerical order. I'm working 8-9 hour days the rest of the week. The other thing the bosses have decided is to hire a guy and a program to tell them what websites employees go to during the day. I'll be in charge of keeping the reports. Now, is that a good idea ME in charge of the hen house? I guess I'll have to be very careful to keep that position.

Just a cute thing for the day. I saw a beautiful red fox cross the parking area. He was just prancing along. I've heard we have several in the area. That was neat.

Some GOOD news for a change. Mr Boss got three new jobs in today and also a nice check. He was finally in a really good mood and things are looking up. He's been using his retirement fund and taking a penalty to keep the office going. I feel so bad for them, it's the sign of the times. Now with the new jobs that will at least help. I'm hoping to stay working till we get our fifth wheel.

The excitement is running high. I'm no longer bored and I have a lot to look forward to both at work and at home. I'm still selling stuff. I had someone from Florida want the ham radio and he's willing to pay for postage, so I have to get that ready for shipment tonight. The only thing left that's on Craigslist is the Indian stuff.

I also stopped to check out the U-Haul and supplies for packing the kids stuff today. I also took mom to the bank, so I feel it was a great day getting things done.

Days left to leave for the wedding 97
