Quiet Day at Work - Catching up at Home

Its a lousy, cold rainy day and no sun. We need the rain to get through the summer so I'm not complaining. I got to work and did ok. I have a whole lot of calculations to get done for some new reports. That's not an easy project for me. Two employees have colds and the new guy (with the twins) is hitting it hard to keep his job, so it's very quiet in the office. I thought yesterday it would be wild, we did so many changes while the new guy was gone. His computer is now mine and they took a lot of stuff off it. There wasn't anything said and he didn't get upset like we all thought he would.

I got home, ironed some work pants for Jim, made a crockpot dinner and chatted with Debken, RV-Dreams chatter the rest of the afternoon while scanning and shredding. We talked in chat last night about going totally paperless. I'm scanning the things we think we may need and shredding everything else. What a great idea, thanks gang.

I was given the following, thought I'd share

A Wild Night at My House
Another year has passed and we're all a little older,
Last summer felt hotter and the winter seems much colder

I rack my brain for happy thoughts, to put down on my pad,
But lots of things, that come to mind just make me kind of sad.

There was a time not long ago when life was quite a blast,
Now I fully understand about "living in the past".

We used to go to friends homes, baseball games and lunches,
Now we go to therapy, to hospitals, and after-funeral brunches.

We used to have hangovers from parties that were gay,
Now we suffer body aches and sleep the night away.

We used to go out dining and couldn't get our fill,
Now we ask for doggie bags come home and take a pill.

We used to travel often to places near and far,
Now we get backaches from riding in the car.

We used to go out shopping for new clothing at the Mall,
But, now we never bother all the sizes are too small.

That, my friend, is how life is, and my tale is told
So, enjoy each day and live it up.. before you're too darn old!

Days left to sell the condo and order the RV 4 mths 25 days

That rhyme really hits home here! I just think the future we are about to embark on is going to be so much better!
