One More Month Before We Move

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 86 Lo 64 -- Another great day with a few clouds and lots of sunshine. It got hot early in the day.

I got a call about some recent medical tests that I had done, and all is well. So that's all done for another year. Jim hopefully has his last appointment on Monday.

We didn't do much till later in the afternoon. It was just too hot to walk this afternoon. I guess we should get up earlier just to do exercises or walk around the park. I've gained six pounds and need to get rid of them.

Early this evening we went to the clubhouse for a ham and beans dinner. They had several cookers full, and we got to eat all we want. It sure was good. There was cornbread to go with it, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. While we were there we signed up for next week's pizza dinner.

We noticed lots of RV's on U.S. 27 today. Must be snowbirds who had sites reserved thru February and are now headed back north. There will be traffic jams on all the northbound highways at the beginning of April. That's the most popular time when the snowbirds head north.

Kathleen picked me up a little after 6pm to go with her to a women's meeting at her church. There were around 50 women there, and we heard the best speaker I've heard in a long time. She was a young lady who had a past history with drugs, and she spoke about how she changed her life. We both enjoyed the evening. Thank you Kathleen for inviting me.
