2025 April 7 -9 Cruise Nassau- Amber Cove - Grand Turk

Day at Sea - Monday 4/7/25

Smooth sailing, no waves at all. We got up about 8 and had breakfast. Roberta went to the casino and I sat by the pool for a couple hours. We were to meet at the pool area but I gave up waiting for her and went back to the room. Too many people and noisy on the pool deck.

                                                Calm ocean
A model of the Carnival Celebration
I went to the "travel experience" that sounded like it may be interesting, but it was very boring. Just a video of time travel from dinosaur days to 500 years, I gave that up and went back to the room. Roberta was there so we ended up going to corn hole games to watch a bunch of people play. That's fun to watch, and we saw that a couple times in the week.

This was our first animal of the week.                 Dee

We had dinner then went to the show that was in the center of the ship, not the big theatre at the back of the ship. In fact, we saw nothing in the big theatre. It was a good show and Roberta went back to the casino and I saw the show the second time only closer seating to see what they were doing. We were on the deck above for the first showing and we couldn't see what was going on. It was better the second time around. I had watched them setup the show so it was neat to see what they did.

                                                            Roberta and Dee

There were three violinists that were amazing. They did playing events all over the ship during the week.
We went to the bar a few hours then to the room.
April 8, Tuesday Nassau
We didn't hurry to get off ship. The first thing we saw was huge mountains on Nassau. There were three other ships in port about the same size we were so lots of people going to shore. Roberta likes finding the place to get the passports stamped. I like getting magnets so we went ashore to see what we could find. Neither of us can walk much so we didn't stay long.  Roberta sat by the pool but getting in was too cold. We both took a nap after lunch.

Tenders from the other ship beside us. Not sure what they were used for, you could walk to the shopping area.
                                                Our ship
                                                Our animal of the day
Another ship beside us was getting a bath

After dinner we went to another show, Circus. It was good but the music wasn't as good as the night before. Lots of ariel acts in this one. It was also in the middle of the ship rather then at the end in the theatre.

We spent the rest of the night in a piano bar, which was really good. He was on an electric piano and could sing well.  He took suggestions and played and sang while reading the requests. I sure couldn't do that, I'd be singing what I was reading.
April 9, Wednesday at sea.  We were up by 8:30, it seemed a good hour to get up and moving. Neither of us slept well, so very tired. After breakfast Roberta went back to room for a nap.
I stayed on the balcony. The wind was higher then it had been and it got a bit chilly. I didn't stay long and went down to the pool area to see ice carving.

I was on the upper deck, but it's a dolphin with nose in the air.
We both enjoyed the violin gals at another bar area.
We had lunch then to the bar. I went to the room for a quick nap. We had dinner and watched another sunset.

The nights performance was a famous comedian, Jorge Marroquin (DJ Cooch). He was very funny.

We spent some time at the bar then to bed.
