Passing Time - Below Zero

Shiloh, IL (Hi 1    lo  -4) wind chill -22   snow 4 inches

I've learned the past few months to go to Tiktok when I first wake up to get laughing. It starts my day off so much better. I set Tiktoc to go to animals and in particular, cats. It's great getting the day going in an upbeat mood. I might not stay that way, but at least I get a good start.

Sunday and Monday I watched the weather youtubers with the upcoming weather. It was predicted very cold and windy all over the country. There wasn't a lot of snow predicted except in NE area, but by Thursday it was coming down hard with winds over 35mph. I watched a couple snow tornadoes which was my first time seeing one, there were actually three with two that over a minutes long playing in between the buildings. It was so cool to watch. There were times there were white outs and I could barely make out the building next to me. I watched storm chasers all day Thursday and Friday covering the cold and snow.  Click on the link for video. I didn't get the tornadoes but did get blowing show sideways.

I noticed that I have ice around the whole doorway. That was a surprise. Click on  the photo to enlarge. I put tape along the doorway to keep the air from coming in. It's barely felt, but there's ice for a reason. I don't go anywhere and no one comes here so it will help. (Maybe a tiny bit)

I also got a chameleon made in time for Christmas gift order. I think it turned out so cute.
We have two ponds with four fountains. They usually are going way up in the air. The ice is keeping them barely flowing. It's pretty though.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I'll write another blog to cover both days this weekend on Monday. Until then, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. You're all so special to me.
