(Auburndale, FL) Hi 85 Lo 70 -- It's getting busy around the park. There's more people coming in and our street has almost everyone here now. We haven't had doctors appointments lately so I'm filling in the time with crocheting and games in the park. (Click on pictures to enlarge.)
We took time to see a movie, which we haven't done in a few months. We both wanted to see The Accountant. More movies are getting more violent and this one certainly was, but still was a good one. We give it two thumbs up, but it is on the violent side.
We played Family Feud at the clubhouse. It's a popular game show on TV and there's a home version on the computer. There were six teams of four and we had a great time. It's so much easier on TV then in real person. We came in second place. There were lots of laughs and mixups, but well worth it. We're hoping they'll do it again next year.
We're still working on the craft bazaar which is November 5, but since so many people are coming into the park we have created a community project of making grocery bag mats for the military. They use them in the field to sit on, lay on and use as protection from the ground or smaller ones for the shower. They're easy to carry and very useful. I'm hoping to get five made before the snowbirds leave in April.
I'm really getting busy at the moment getting the critters made and Christmas tree decorations for the craft fair. I'm playing Bunco twice a month, dominoes, shuffleboard, helping with the decorating for the Halloween party and working to put up the books in the library. They painted the library room and we're getting the books back in the shelves. It's making the days go so fast and for the first time I can say in a very long time, "I'm NOT bored".
The Halloween party is Saturday night so I'll report on that next week.
See you next Friday.
