(Elkhart, IN) Hi 82 Lo 68 --
Green Acres Lake Park Resort in Diamond, OH was a very good place to stay, with lots of family activities. They even had music entertainment on weekends with bands and DJ's at the pavilion. The managers were very friendly and helpful, even arranging a loan of a large cooler when we had our refrigerator issue. But on Monday it was time to leave and head further west to Elkhart, IN. We drove thru a couple of rain showers, but otherwise it was a very smooth six-hour trip. I'm from nearby Warsaw, IN so it's like coming back home to me. We're staying at the Elkhart Campground, where we've stayed a couple other times during our travels. We always love coming to the Elkhart area, with the great Amish eating places. Also, there's no better place to have your RV worked on than Elkhart. I think I read that about 80 percent of all RV's are built in Elkhart County, IN. In fact we have an appointment next week at Fox RV to have our small slide adjusted. It's currently not going completely out and there's a small gap at the top of one of the sides. They've done great work for us in the past.

We're right in front of the laundry.
One of the six blades on our ceiling fan broke and we're trying to find a replacement. Actually the metal arm connecting the blade to the fan motor is what broke. We're not having much luck so far, but we'll keep trying.

They say you can't ever really go home again, but I have visited my home area several times since I have moved away and always really enjoyed "going home again".
Yup, just like in a stix and brix home, there is always something breaking. We've never been to Elkhart. One of these days.
Darn, we just missed you guys at Elkhart. Karen and I rented a Class C and were on the way back to Missouri from Michigan. We considered routing the return back through Indiana but decided to go west into Iowa. Stayed at Amana, IO in a nice open park.
