I love watching the cars slide sideways on a dirt track. This is blurry but it shows what I mean.
It was a great night and we got home a little after midnight. We hope to go to some more race tracks this summer.
Sunday was my birthday and Jim treated me to a movie and dinner. We both have been looking forward to seeing the movie "Spy". It was hilarious! Melissa McCarthy is a ball to watch, and she seems to get better in every movie she makes. She's getting so popular as a movie star that we wonder how much longer she'll be in the TV series Mike and Molly.
After the movie we went for my traditional birthday lobster dinner at Red Lobster. I've gone to Red Lobster on my birthday for many years because it's a big chain and it's usually not hard to find one in our travels.
One of these ended up on my dinner plate.
And he (or she) was delicious!
If you remember, we had a problem with the quadcopter (drone) Jim bought me for my birthday. An expert at a hobby shop last week told us that the controller is bad, and to call the manufacturer. We called Hobbico, the maker of the Dromida line of drones, and explained the situation. Rather than just replace the controller they're sending us a brand new drone. The nice gentleman said to use our old one for parts. How great is that! The new one is being mailed to our son's address and we'll get it in about a week when we get there.
We were going to move to northern Kentucky today, but Jim checked the website of one of the Lexington, KY TV stations and found out that severe weather is expected in that area this afternoon and evening. He also found out I-75 is closed down in the Lexington area due to a tanker truck fire. So rather than have to drive through bad weather, and not knowing when the accident will be cleaned up, we'll just wait until tomorrow to leave. It's so great to have the flexibility to travel when we want, and not when we have to.
If you'd like to see more photos from the RV-Dreams Rally, our friend Wendy posted a full album of them, which you can see here.
Thanks for reading. See you in a couple days.
