Friends Visit - Preparing to Leave

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 83 Lo 63 -- The weather has been spectacular lately! The warm temperatures we expect here in Florida. Saturday Melba and her husband Ed came to visit us. I went to high school with Melba in Indiana. She and Ed spend their winters traveling around Florida and we try to see each other once a year. We talked the afternoon away then went for some dinner to Hibachi Grill in Sebring, our favorite Chinese buffet. Thank you so much for stopping to see us; hopefully we'll do it again next year.

Sunday was church, then an afternoon of NASCAR racing. The time changed Saturday night to daylight saving time. It takes me a few days to adjust to the time change.

We have about a month before we pull out for our summer travels. After our long trip to the far west last summer we're taking it a little easier this year. We'll be staying near family more this year, mostly in the east and midwest. Today we started our spring cleaning. Jim sorted through all the stuff in the cargo bays and got rid of anything we haven't touched in the last year. I vacuumed all the storage bays, then Jim rearranged and re-packed everything. As if that wasn't enough of a "work" day, Jim then washed the car and I waxed it. Now we know it will rain before long. :)

We have a lot more stuff to get done before we leave.
