2014 Florida RV Super Show

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 66 Lo 43 -- We've been having some fun with our friends here in the park and keeping busy the last couple days. Monday was our dermatology appointments. We got to the doctor's office and Jim discovered her forgot his wallet. So since he didn't have any identification and couldn't prove who he is, they had to reschedule him for next week. My checkup turned out fine, so I'm good for another year.

Tuesday was my bell choir practice and they gave me a more challenging piece of music to play, where you have to play three bells. The little ones were fairly easy to handle, but not so easy were the big bass bells. I'm sure having fun. We're learning Easter music.  I got home just in time to pick up Jim, and our friends Lee and Rosemary and went to see the movie "The Hobbit, the Desolation of Smaug." It's the second of the Hobbit movies, with the third one due out next year. This one was really good. Jim's amazed that they made three very long movies from a book that had only a little over 300 pages. The three Lord of the Rings movies were from three separate books of well over 500 pages each.

After the movie we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant, Hibachi Buffet, then home. A little later we went to Martha and Gary's to join them and Doris and Bill for a game of hand and foot. We had a great time.

Today we went with Judy and Jim to the RV Super Show at the State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

It wasn't long before we ran into some friends. Neal, Nancy, Lee, Martha were in line at the restaurant tent, and we greeted them with hugs and handshakes.

Judy and Jim, and my Jim among all the RV's

Jim and Judy stopped at a sign making stand.

They ordered a sign like this one, only with their names and a picture of a fifth wheel instead of a motorhome.

I love the name of this class C.

Later we ran into Howard and Linda, then Elaine and Rick. We didn't get thru much of the vendor area because it was getting late. We left around 4pm and stopped on the way home at Catfish Country, a small seafood place in Bartow. It was a great place to eat and we'll be going back.

Thanks Jim and Judy for a great day.

It was Lee and Martha in line to eat with Nancy and Neil. It was great to see you and Jim again.

I think I would feel overwhelmed at a super show. Did you get any photos from inside some of the RV's?

Awesome sign! That would make a great addition to an RV, and make it more homey and unique. Anyway, the RV community sure is fun to hang around with. It must've been nice bumping into friends. I'm sure you had a blast. Thanks for sharing all about that fun day! Travel safe always! :)
