(Beaufort, NC) Hi 69 Lo 56 -- It was windy and cooler today but we didn’t mind. It’s really good not to have the AC on all day. Sharon (Jim's sister) and I went to town for a few groceries for today’s family get together. Jim’s brother Johnny, drove in from Wilmington. Jim’s mom Alberta and her sister Roberta came over from Morehead City. We were also joined by Sharon’s friend Pam and her husband Bobby. We all had a wonderful afternoon of fun and good eating.

We grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and brats, with sides of potato salad, baked beans and chips. And for dessert we had banana pudding and strawberry short cake.
After dinner we drove over to Jim's cousin Larry’s place on the bank of the North River. He's one of many commercial shrimpers in Jim's family, and he was nice enough to provide us with some fresh shrimp to put in our freezer.
When we got back we all sat around and complained about how full we were, and just enjoyed some good conversation and fellowship. By late afternoon everyone started leaving and we came back to the RV for the evening. It was a great day of family and fun.
