(Willis, TX) Hi 84 Lo 71 -- It was sunny when we got up. I thought it was going to be a great day to walk the park. By the time I was ready to go it started raining, and it rained off and on the rest of the day.
We both stayed busy. This is our last day in Texas and I must say, it's been a great three weeks. We're headed to Betty's RV Park in Abbeville, LA. It's one of the favorite parks in the country among RV'ers. Betty hosts daily happy hours, pot luck meals, and is a source of information about things to do and see in southern Louisiana. We're looking forward to spending a week there. We plan to start out a little earlier than usual for the five hour trip.
Jim worked on where we'll go from there, and when. We both need eye appointments in Raleigh, NC and need to know when we'll be getting there. I made phone calls, read blogs and overall just stayed on the computer while Jim watched football and NASCAR. His Dolphins won today so he's in a good mood. We'll head to bed earlier tonight and look forward to a fun week.

Betty's is such fun! We hope to make it back there someday! Be sure to shop for some local delicacies in the local grocery store, like Slap Ya Mama seasoning and Sweet Treat (cinnamon/sugar/vanilla).
