(Mansfield, TX) Hi 95 Lo 74 – We were hitched up and on the road by 9:45am. The 225-mile trip was very smooth and uneventful.
I was surprised to see very few oil rigs along the way. I saw one big one that was pumping oil, and a few smaller ones that were not working. What I did see along the way was a really big casino named Winstar. It looked like a mini Vegas.
They must not let you win very much if they have enough money to keep adding buildings.
Being NASCAR fans, we enjoyed seeing Texas Motor Speedway as we traveled on I-35W toward Ft. Worth.
It’s a huge complex. It looks a lot like Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, one of our favorite tracks.
A few more miles south and we saw the Ft. Worth skyline. Our route on I-35W took us along the eastern side of the city, so we didn't have to drive through downtown.
About 10 miles southeast of Ft. Worth, and right between Ft. Worth and Dallas, is Mansfield, where we arrived at Texan RV Ranch. It’s a nice park with a lot of amenities, including a pool. Our kind of park!
We got set up and got the a/c going, then chilled for the rest of the day and evening. Now we have to decide what we're going to do tomorrow.

The Winstar Casino has a really nice RV park. We stayed there back in April for the inaugural Heartland Oklahoma Chapter rally and had a great time. They were working on a new pool and some other new areas. Prices were not bad either.
That Indian owned casino has a sign at the door that I just loved it said "Taking America back one nickel at a time."
