Getting "Hitch Itch"

(Joliet, IL) Hi 89 Lo 63 -- It was our usual Sunday of relaxation and NASCAR. We try to balance our days of being busy doing things with days of doing almost nothing. On our "nothing" days we're usually doing computer stuff, TV watching, or reading, so we're seldom bored. I tend to get more antsy than Jim, which brings me to "hitch-itch."

Hitch-itch is an RV'ers term that means we're anxious to get moving. We have places to see and people to meet. This is exciting for me because I've always wanted to see Denver, and this Wednesday we'll be on our way in that direction. The fun part is the planning... where to stay, what to see, and checking to see who may be in that area that we know. We have some military friends out west so we're contacting them to see if they'll be around when we get there. These are some of the things we do on our down days.

Today I got caught up on getting our digital photos organized, and I also updated our parks visited spreadsheet. I then went to RV Park Reviews and wrote some reviews on parks we've been to.

It was hot and very muggy today, so we stayed inside. We didn't even unlock the door. We had a microwave dinner so it wouldn't put any more heat in the RV. We have two air conditioners, but running just the main one usually is enough. Once or twice we've run both of them, but that was when it was REALLY hot. We'll probably have to run both of them when we get to Texas later this summer.

Our family time is winding down. Only three more days until we get to scratch our "hitch-itch."

I seem to have a constant Hitch-Itch which is a problem since my husband is not yet retired!

Charley and I have the hitch-itch but it is going to be a while before we will be able to scratch it!! We will just have to rely on all of our blogging buddies, like you, to let us see it through their eyes until we can get back on the road.

Enjoy!! And be safe!

Hitch itch never goes away evidently. I no longer have an RV I get antsy to move on after a while of being in one place.

We've got serious hitch-itch. Seeing the same view for the last 9 months is getting old!

We have hitch itch reall bad. We would love to be able to just pick up and go when ever the itch hit us. One day we will. We are working hard toward that goal. Can't wait to scratch that itch even if it is only for the weekend. !

If you are coming to Texas you might want to get a third AC unit!

I got it, too -- much too long of a stint here in Vegas -- still 6 more weeks. Have a great time when you shove off, Dee!

Shalimar, FL  (Hi 64  Lo 40)   This week went so slow. When you're retired the days get all mixed up and some go so slow you skip a day...
