(Joliet, IL) Hi 88 Lo 55 -- We left soon after breakfast for son Rick's in Homewood. Being Saturday, the traffic was lighter than usual so it was a quick trip.
Our long-time friend Shelly drove in from northern Indiana. We haven't seen her in two years. She was our babysitter for our two boys in the early 80's in California, and she's been our dear friend ever since.
Jim and Rick went to a Chicago White Sox game while Shelly and I stayed behind with the two grand boys. (Click on photos to enlarge them.)
The Chicago skyline from the outer concourse of the stadium.
Shelly and I got caught up on work, kids, grandkids, travels and a lot of talk in-between. We didn't do much, but we had a great time just chatting.
When the guys got home we went to Culver's for dinner. Here Rick and Jack are showing Shelly how to play Angry birds on the phone. Jack is six, and he knows more about some of the games on the phone than we do.
After dinner we all said our goodbyes, and Shelly left to drive back to Indiana while we returned back to our home. It was a wonderful day!

How nice to meet up with old friends. Amazing how the kids know more than we do about computers & games :)
Always nice to get together with old friends...kids definitely know more about the puters than we do...every time i get a script with that funky locking cover I tell Rick call the g/daughter to come open this for us..lol
Kids nowadays are so tech savvy. I often feel a little dumb around my kids and grandkids.
