(Avon Park, FL) Hi 84 Lo 56 -- It was back to high temperatures today, much more Florida-like. We love it except it does get hot in the mid afternoon sun. We have to pay for our electricity here, and I was determined NOT to turn on the AC today, so we ran our fans on high.
I got to sleep in this morning and I loved it. The only thing I had to do was get a box out in the mail to my sister, which I did at mid-morning. On the way back I tried to get my hair cut at Walmart, but there was a long list of walk ins and the wait was an hour or more. There always seems to be only one hairdresser on duty. I'll keep trying, one of these days I'll get there at the right time and not have to wait. I'm too cheap to make an appointment at a "beauty shop." :)
I came back home and we had lunch, then went to our Wednesday Bible Study group. On our walk over to the clubhouse there was a huge Newell motor home that had just arrived. Newell is right up there with Prevost as the top of the line for motor homes. This one was gorgeous!
After class we played shuffleboard with Jon and Kathleen, then I went for my walk. Afterwards we sat outside under the awning for an hour or so. Jim fell into "nap land" in his lounger and started snoring in no time. Later he started the grill and cooked up some chicken for me, and a steak for himself. Another relaxing day!

Bridget got her hair cut once at Walmart and it was bad according to her. Now when she needs a haircut we use google maps and type in "beauty school". She had her WM cut fixed at a beauty school. When she walked in they said "I hope we didn't do that". Being that they are students the prices are low and you don't leave until the instructors have checked the work and you are happy.
I'm glad to have a regular hairdresser again.
I lucked out on the one I went to in Sebring. Looks like you guys had a couple of great days!!! We were on the run and enjoying visits with the family..we move on tomorrow..
We've used the Flowbee for years. It works well and it's easy. Pays for itself in just a few cuts. Google it and give it a try.
