Race Day, Part II... No Wait, Race NIGHT!

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 85 Lo 64 -- Hot and humid, so the air conditioner is back on. The sun was in and out all day and had a rain shower later in the evening.

Jim did the laundry today. He tries to do it every Monday just to stay on a routine. We thought the race was going to start by noon, but it was postponed to 7:00 tonight. We'll see if they get it in.

I went to a routine doctor appointment and as usual had a long wait. The gal said that doesn't happen very often and was surprised I was there that long. I'm retired so it's ok, but one lady who was before me had to get back to work and was very upset.

On the way home from the doctor's office we stopped for dinner at Homer's Smorgasbord in Sebring. They have a great dinner buffet and we really like the food. We got back home in time to watch the evening news and get ready to watch the "500." I'm learning how to use Twitter, and one of the tweets I read was directed at Mark Martin asking if he could stay up tonight past his bedtime to run the race. He tweeted back, "Guess I have to, lol."

Lady and gentlemen, start your engines!!

Can you believe this race? Just getting ready to go after the red flag. This has sure been a strange Daytona week. At least everybody is still okay.
