A Day At the Pool

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 83 Lo 66 -- We didn't have anything planned today, and it turned out to be a pretty hot day, so after our morning routine we headed for the pool. The water temperature is maintained around 85 degrees, so you don't get that quick "shiver" like you usually do when you enter the water. I stayed a couple hours, but Jim left after about an hour to do his walk. Debbie came in and, along with several other ladies we ended up in a circle in the pool talking about life. It was very enjoyable.

Later in the afternoon after I got home Jon and Kathleen dropped by and we made plans to drive up together to Haines City to the Florida Strawberry Festival next week. Jon's a NASCAR fan like us, so we talked about the wild Daytona 500 last night. It sure was entertaining, and it looks like it was a ratings success for Fox. Maybe we'll see more racing on Monday nights in future years.

We had dinner then I did a quick walk and found Ken and Debbie outside, so I talked to them for awhile. That's our day. Not real exciting, but very enjoyable to us! We're still very happy with the area and the park.

The pool sounded great, sometimes the simple days are the best.
