Flea Market at the Clubhouse

(Avon Park, FL)  Hi 80 Lo 61 -- It was very foggy this morning and humid all day. I still can't believe it's February. I'm glad we won't be here during the summer, it will be way too hot.

We didn't do much of anything today. We've been on the run the last week, so this week will be a little more calm. We got up a little early so we could go to the clubhouse for a flea market. A lot of snowbirds here in the park brought things down from up north that they don't want anymore. So, hoping their trash is someone's treasure, they put their stuff out on tables to sell. The place was packed.

Some of the items were for people who live in the park models. Big pictures, large humidifiers, large fans etc. There were a couple craft tables with beads or ribbon necklaces, but we didn't see anything we had to have.

They had a LOT of baked goodies. We resisted the urge to buy. We don't need any extra calories. :)

It was fun walking around and seeing what everyone had to sell.

We spent the day with the TV and computer. I organized the past month's pictures and cleaned out the folder full of jokes that I've received since last June. Needless to say I'm getting more room on my computer for 2012 activities.

While reading blogs Jim found a new app for Android smartphones that is great for RV'ers. It's MobileRVing. It's a directory of campgrounds all over the U.S. You can search for a campground or RV park by name, by state, or by zip code. It also includes all the information about the park... phone number, amenities, map location and directions, and even a park map. It's really pretty awesome. Check it out in the Android Market.

I don't usually cook on weekends, but I made a salmon dish tonight that turned out pretty good. I broiled it with olive oil, garlic salt and paparika. It had a great flavor. At least Jim really liked it. It was something different for us.

We watched the Daytona ARCA race, which is the first race of the new season. It's good to have racing back! Now we know what we'll be doing on Sunday afternoons. :) This next week is full of practice sessions and racing action from Daytona. Bring it on!!
