Running the furnace the last two cold nights emptied one of our propane tanks, so Jim went to get it filled this morning. This afternoon we joined Rick & Elaine, and Ken and Debbie for a couple of hours of shuffleboard. None of the four of them has never played, so we did our best to give them some pointers. We had a lot of fun. Our lack of talent was about even with their lack of experience, so we had some evenly matched games.

After a fun three games we all gathered at Rick and Elaine's motorhome for 5:00 happy hour. We left when the sun went down to get a quick dinner.
After dinner Rick and Elaine joined us for a short walk over to Jon and Kathleen's park model home for an evening of cards. Also there was Dennis and Pat, a couple who used to live here in the park but have recently bought a house in Sebring.

It was an evening dedicated to learning new card games. We learned how to play Euchre, Chase the Ace, and Three to Thirteen. What a great time we had, with a lot of laughs. We're all night owls and it was close to midnight when we finally left for home. What a wonderful day spent with friends, and making new friends.

I guess I still have visions of old men in burgundy polyester pants pulled up high on their waists, white belts with rows of holes all around, and white shoes on their feet, playing shuffleboard at the campground we used to stay in all summer long.
