(Avon Park, FL) Hi 69 Lo 28 -- The neighbors said there was frost on the cars this morning. We weren't up to see it. Both of us slept in till 9:00 and it felt good. We did our normal morning routine but a truck from Progress Energy, the local electric company (and Jim's former employer), came next door. It's Sunday, so we knew it couldn't be good. They moved two sites down from us and stopped again. At both places they installed new meters and did some work to the lines. There's been some damage to some of the RV's on our row (including Kenny and Debbie), caused by bad neutrals at the pedestals. We're hoping nothing goes wrong at our site. We do have a good surge protector, but Kenny and Debbie have a surge protectors and they still got damage.
Rick, Elaine and Debbie came down to get me for shuffleboard. Kenny and Jim stayed back to watch football, nothing was going to interfere with their games. We played two games of shuffleboard, then we sat outside at Rick and Elaine's for awhile. Their site is next to a fence that blocks the wind, so it was warmer there than under our awning.
It was a great day in the sun, even with the cool winds. We had a light dinner and watched TV shows the rest of the evening. The rest of the week is going to be busy, there's a lot on the schedule.

Oh my that makes me nervous when I read about bad wiring in a park.
Sometimes I read it's because someone will accidently back over a post, and instead of notifying the management, they tip it back up and pretend nothing happened. When in truth, something could be knocked loose and hurt the next person or their rig's internal componants.
Hope all is fixed now safe and sound!

EEE Gads! Not good! We are in a park that is OK but no where near as nice as the one we just left. It is twice the price and half as nice. It will do for the week we are here. Good to see you both still enjoying life!
