(Avon Park, FL ) Hi 77 Lo 61 -- Rain today, light to heavy at times. It was a great day to stay in and just chill out and that's what we did.
Today was all about games. I played all the computer games that I've been neglecting lately. Words with Friends is my favorite, and I try to keep up with several games at once. I really like it and it's quite challenging. Gardens of Time, Bejeweled, and a couple of other Facebook games. Thanks everyone who plays with me.
Jim is less social so he likes to play Hearts and Backgammon against the computer. But he doesn't play for as long at a stretch as I do. We're able to receive the Miami TV stations so he watched his Dolphins play (and lose) to the Philadelphia Eagles. He fell asleep during the game so I took over the TV and watched a couple of shows. The rest of the afternoon we watched some recorded shows, including a sappy Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel.
So we didn't move much today except to get something to eat. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, right? It was relaxing hearing the rain on the roof. We'll have active getaway days during the winter, but we'll also be relaxing quite a bit and will have days like this, when we do nothing. That is until I get cabin fever, then we'll do some day trips.

Just a question here - it looks like some of the buildings are leaning in your header picture. Is that so they can withstand the hurricane winds?
I don't play many games on line. I do play hearts and free cell quite a bit though. Jim and I have been learning cribbage and we're sort of getting the hang of that one.
ohhh we had a day of FOOTBALL games.. .first was Detroit/Vikings... then of course the Packers beating the Raiders... and now he is watching the Cowboys/Giants. I am flicking over to The Good Wife as soon as it comes on and he can go upstairs to see the rest of this game!
Sounds like a great day to me... It never did rain here on the west coast.
