(Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL) Hi 73 Lo 60 -- The winds died down last night so we had a very comfortable night sleeping. The clubhouse had a craft sale this morning at the clubhouse. They also have an area where you can take your "junk" to get rid of it, either by trying to sell it or just give it away. We have two chairs around our dining table. We also have two extra chairs that fold flat and we store them under the bed. We've never needed two chairs around the table because I turn my recliner toward the table when we eat our meals. So we took one of the chairs over to see if we could give it away, and we did. That gives us more room around the table. And if we have company all we need to do is dig one of the folding chairs our from under the bed.
I walked down to the beach. It changes so much from day to day. Since we've had high winds the sand is higher along the rocks and there's more sea life along the beach. People were picking up a lot of shells, and the fishing seemed good. There were several fish in buckets around the rocks where people were fishing.
Nice view from the rocks.
I talked to a guy while walking the beach that travels the world. He just got back from Hong Kong. He leaves for Thailand in a couple days and is going on a cruise next mongh. It was very interesting to hear where he's been and what he's found interesting in the places he's visited. His favorite place is Australia.
A couple that just came in last night are trying to decide if they want to go full time. They've been in an RV for short trips for several years. The fifth wheel they have now is too small for full time use, so they were interested in seeing ours. I talked to them for at least an hour. I love meeting people at this base. They're so friendly.
I got back to the RV to get some lunch, then we were off to get Jim some shoes. He likes New Balance shoes, but he hasn't been able to find find the model he likes in his size at the PX. He found a New Balance store about twelve miles away, so we went there and they had what he's looking for. He's now a happy "camper" with his new shoes.
When we got back Jim went on a long walk to try out his new shoes, and I stayed in and played games. We have a faster internet connection here so I can finally play games on the computer. So now Words with Friends, Bejeweled, and Gardens of Time are back in my daily routine. We're so happy in our piece of paradise.
It's been a while since I've thanked those of you who regularly leave comments. Sometimes it's hard to keep the blog interesting, so it's good to know people are still reading. Thank you!

I know exactly what your saying. Being new to posting blogs my brain is constantly racing about things to write about, but it's only a been very short while and I feel like I'm repeating things already.
I suppose, once we're on the road that will all change.
It's about time.
We are here most every day, and don't give a dang if you are interesting or not. Just tell us what's going on..
We have been following your blog for the past year and enjoy your posts very much.
Google stopped working when I tried to comment, so if you get two comments from me, it's Google's fault. I usually stop by everyday. Yours is my favorite blog of all that I read. Our fulltime technique is much like yours, Florida in the Winter and slow travel the rest of the year. We're originally from Buffalo NY. I really enjoyed your tales while passing through Western New York. Reading your blog daily is like chatting with neighbors over the backyard fence. Thanks for sharing.
Love your pic of the sand around the rocks... very neat!
You are such good ambassadors of the full time life! Keep spreading the word and soon all our campgrounds will be full!

We look forward to your blog everyday, we understand it is a picture of life, some days lots going on and others not so much.
But what better way to live than in your RV?
I try to check everyone out every day but some days I just don't get to my reading like I should. You do a good job blogging...I don't blog daily because we are still at the stix and bricks for another month and I don't want to bore everyone..safe travels :) great pictures
