Last Day with Family

(Beaufort, NC)  Hi 63 Lo 52 --  It was windy again last night, but not bad enough to rock the RV so we slept well. We're leaving tomorrow morning so this was our last day to be with our family. We've enjoyed our summer with everyone, and we're very glad mom is now in a place where she's safe and being taken care of.

We spent most of today on our computers. I got caught up on several blogs, and Jim read on his Kindle. We visited with Sharon and Jim, and their visiting friends Martha and Barney. It was a very fast day and with the time change it got dark really early. This is the worst time of the year. The evenings come way to fast and everything is done in the dark. I'm glad I don't live in Alaska where it's dark all the time during the winter.

We went to dinner at Captain's Choice Restaurant at Harker's Island.

We came home and had some dessert left over from yesterday's family dinner, then said our goodbyes to everyone because they won't be around tomorrow when we leave. Thanks Sharon and Jim for your hospitality, and for a wonderful week. We'll see you next Spring!

Goodbyes are hard but knowing that in only a few winter months you'll see them again makes it much easier.
