Visiting with RV'ing Friends

(NC State Fairgrounds, Raleigh, NC)  Hi 54 Lo 39 -- It rained hard last night, so we slept off and on all night. We had the heat pump on, but as the temperature dropped overnight the furnace came on early in the morning. I hate the first time the furnace comes on for the year, it has a burning smell to it as it heats up all the dust in the ducts.

Jim had to get me up at 9:30 so we could get to my mom's to take her to lunch. We got to her place and she was laying down. Her back was hurting, so she was just taking it easy. She didn't feel like going out so we met Selene and Hank for lunch at Zaxby's. Selene and Hank have been our friends since our days when we were in the Raleigh Amateur Radio Society years ago.

Our lunch lasted a couple hours as we discussed our lifestyle, and how they're preparing to go fulltime. They followed us back to mom's and we sat and talked some more about everything that's going on. Mom enjoys their company so much.

We headed back home in time to pick up Paul and Jill for dinner at Amedeo's Italian restaurant. Paul and Jill are at the end of our row at the fairgrounds. They've been fulltiming less than a year, and they're loving it. We compared notes and talked about our future plans. They're spending the winter near Ocala, Florida, so we hope to get together with them while we're down there.

Paul and Jill's Montana Big Sky fifth wheel, just down the row from us. Not very many are left in our campground.

We dropped Paul and Jill off and came home and watched TV and I chatted the rest of the evening.

Your Mom is looking great! Too bad she was in pain today and couldn't go out for lunch since you'll soon be on your way to the Sunshine state!
