Walk and Race

(Wauchula, FL) Hi 88 Lo 58 --  It was already warm by 11am when the AC kicked on. The humidity isn't all that high and when I did my walk it was quite comfortable.  There weren't too many people outside, but a few were reading under their awnings. Very quiet around the park. Jim also did an hour walk this morning.

I read blogs most of the day. I have over 300 that I keep up with. That sounds like a lot, but not very many of them post every day.  My favorites I read every day, or at least once a week. And the rest I check about once a month.  It's no wonder at the end of the day I have no idea who did what, when, or where they are. :)  I'm having fun reading them though.  I also sorted some out that haven't posted for a very long time (over three months).

The NASCAR race at Phoenix was on today, so we settled in for the rest of the afternoon. Another thing I did was start a Twitter account. I doubt I'll post very often, but it was fun trying to figure out how it works. I'm having enough trouble keeping up with Facebook.  I do like following the tweets of some of my favorite TV stars, and my favorite race driver Jeff Gordon.

When I first started blogging I had a countdown clock for when we were going full time.  I've put on another countdown for when we'll be starting our summer travel. We have a full schedule, unless the fuel prices hold us in place longer at a time.

It's 37 days till we hit the road and head north

We're in Buckeye, AZ just down the road from the Phoenix track. I tried to talk Kevin into going, but he didn't want to spend the money. I'm not that big of a fan, but a Nascar race is something I think we should experience once. Oh, well. It's funny how many people are talking about heading north on their blogs.

I know you were as pleased as I was when the #24 car won today. And he beat Kyle Busch-it doesn't get much better!

37 days left!
You have been there a long time, have you seen everything that you wanted to see in that area?

At least you have had lovely weather there.

just wanted to let you know we've been enjoying following your blogs and getting some good tips from you! wondering what kind of word verification system you use? It looks easier to use than that darn captcha thing!

Jeannie, we use the standard word verification in Blogger. I'm glad you're finding it easy to use.
