Mother Nature at Her Best

(Wauchula, FL) - Normal Sunday morning, Jim watching his news/politics shows, me reading blogs, emails, and catching up on all the friends in RV land on Facebook.  It was 68 degrees and very windy, but we both got walks in. Jim went for a couple of laps around the park and I walked to the office to pick up mail.

We got the RV ready for the trip to Lazy Days tomorrow to take care of the recall on the refrigerator and also have a few small things fixed.  We knew there was rain coming, so Jim got busy checking the tires and dumping the tanks.  He added some fresh water to the tank and stowed the water hose and filter.  He finished all this up just as it started raining.

By afternoon the clouds were moving out and the temperature was dropping.  We're forecast to have very cold temperatures for a couple of days.  Tuesday morning it may get down to the 20's, and warm up to only the 50's by afternoon.

This is football day, and Jim was going from game to game watching either rain or snow on the fields. The domed stadium in Minnesota collapsed because of the snow (see photos).  Their game has been moved to Detroit tomorrow night. Snow and high winds have shut down a lot of the Midwest.  It's also snowing in Atlanta.  Mother Nature at her orneriest, and as the saying goes, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."

If they don't finish our work tomorrow in time for us to drive back before dark we'll stay in their on-site RV park.  Or we may stay in their service bay if they have to finish on Tuesday.  Whatever happens, it will be a long day.  It's cold, but it's still our paradise here in Florida.

I hope they get your work completed quickly so you can get back to your Park.

That's pretty chilly for Florida! It was really cold and windy here in OK today and we're ready to move on to warmer territory in January. Stay warm. :)

Be careful at Lazy Days, be very careful! People have been known to take their RV in for service there and somehow end up leaving in a completly different (new) RV.

Lead me not into temptation... ;c)
