Keeping the RV Clean

(Wauchula, FL) - I never liked the change from daylight saving time to standard time because it gets dark so much earlier.  However, the time change isn't  a big problem in the mornings.  My body clock continues to wake me up at the same time in the morning, but now it's 8:30 instead of 9:30.  So I feel like I'm getting an extra hour of coffee/computer time.

The heat pump came on less last night and was running for just a little while this morning.  But it didn't take long to warm up.  The high temperature was 84, no humidity, blue skies, and perfect weather to wash the RV.  It hasn't been washed since we were at Goshen, Indiana in June when we had it professionally detailed. There's no rain forecasted till next week so we figured we'd get it all done.  Jim went up top and scrubbed the roof with Dawn.  We used the Orange solution (you can get it at dollar store) to clean the black streaks on the sides, and Bounce sheets to get the bugs off the front cap.  It's amazing how quick that job is, only about 10 minutes to clean the whole front cap.  The Bounce sheets also worked pretty good on the black stuff that gets on the caulking, but that takes a little more elbow grease.  The rig really looks spiffy!

It was 2:00 by the time we were done, and I was too hot to go to shuffle board, and Jim took a recliner nap. Nothing else got done the rest of the day.  We get worn out more quickly than we use to.  Wonder why that is?  Maybe age?

We're still seeing some of the "stink bugs" that we picked up in Pennsylvania.  We see about two a week.  I bet they wonder where they are and why it's still very warm.  :)  I just hope they aren't multiplying somewhere in our rig and start showing up in a few months in droves.

A great (but tiring) day in paradise.

I am glad to hear I am not the only one that is less than enthusiastic in washing the RV. I had it done in Cody, WY and he did a great job.

Since then I have counted each rain storm as a cleaning.

Enjoy a the clean rig.

Your rig is white! Our rig is Navy or almost black blue. Every time it rains or even is dusty, the whole thing looks like it needs washed again! I just give up on it! LOL

Sounds like a wash of love.

I'm impressed that the campground let you wash your RV, too many won't.

I have this thing about keeping our RV clean, when it gets dirty, it bugs me no end (no pun intended).
