Not Much Happening Today

(York, PA) - This turned out to be a day of little activity, so this post will be short.  We had intended to go on another factory tour, but tours at this place were only done on Mondays and Tuesdays.  So we stayed in and I played with my new Droid X smart phone.  What an impressive piece of technology!  There's a lot to learn, and I'm even going to a class at the local Verizon store later this week.  It's amazing to be "connected" anywhere I go.  As if I don't already spend enough time on the PC!  :)

Jim piddled around outside looking for things to fix or tighten on the rig.  He found that a lot of the small screws around the front cap need tightening every few weeks.  Must be all the flexing when raising and lowering onto the hitch.

Anyway, that's about it for today.  When you post every day, not every day can be interesting.

You got me thinking about a Droid again and I ordered my Droid X today. You just scared me when you said there's a class! Looks like I'll have something to work on!

Sometimes we just like to hear from you that everything is fine! It doesn't have to be interesting, but your opinions about the new droid x are very interesting to me.
As a guy, I carry my Blackberry in my pants pocket. In its leather case, so I won't push the buttons un intensionally. But the Droid is quite a bit bigger, and I wonder how I could carry it, short of getting a fanny pack or something.
Its really cool and very connected as you have correctly reported, and we want to hear more as you learn about it!

I got a Droid2 a couple of weeks ago. I love it! I've downloaded some fun game apps, and lots of other things.

FYI - I also went to the "class." It's not really a structured class, at least at my Verizon.

I got there early, so when they opened the doors, I walked in first - and got the first salesperson. She said, "What do you need to know?" !?! I didn't KNOW what I needed to know. So, when you go, have some questions available for them to answer.

Also, if I was later in the group, I could have watched and listened to the first people, who might have had questions I didn't know to ask. I probably should have stuck around and listened.

My daughter-in-law has the Droid X, and she loves it, too.

I also bought the screen protector sheets and a silicon case after the "class" on the advice of another customer. I'm glad I did.

Have fun with it, Barbara

Stay dry today! We need the rain, but it puts a 'damper' on plans ;)

Have fun with your new phone/toy!

Tell Jim a tiny dab of Locktite -Threadlocker non hardening (blue bottle) It will help keep those screws from backing out. (ex hardware store gal here)
