Wash and Wax

(Goshen, IN) - I was woken up this morning by lots of noise. There were three trucks behind us cutting off tree limbs to make room for the bigger rigs coming in for the Escapade next week.

The only thing we had to do today was get the RV washed and waxed.  Jim called a company last week and arranged for them to come today at 1:30.  At 1:45 Jim called to find out if they were still coming, the answer was they’ll be here in half an hour.  They finally showed up at 3:07.  I don’t like waiting on people. If we knew they’d be late we would have used more of the day doing something else.  They left at 6:10 and did a wonderful job.  They even washed my car and Jim’s.  The rig just shines, and it’s suppose to rain tomorrow.  Go figure.

While they were washing and waxing, I took some pictures of a couple of the big rigs I mentioned in yesterday's blog.

This is my favorite.  This truck and RV go together.  I love things decorated like this, but Jim likes things a little plainer. :)

This is our next door neighbors' rig.  They've been on the road 11 years.  I don't think there's any doubt his truck can pull (and stop) his rig!

Here’s a general view of our park; it changes almost everyday.

While we were outside a little kitten came up. I’ve seen it a couple of times.  It’s very friendly, very skinny and skittish at any loud noises. I picked her up and she cuddled very close and purred. The neighbor gave me some baby food and she ate the whole  jar. She is so cute!  She seems to be a park kitten.  Neighbors told me that others have fed her and she wanders from rig to rig.

We went to dinner at Ponderosa Steak House.  What a great meal! It’s been a long time since we’ve eaten there.  On the way home we stopped to pick up some ice, which we'll have to do until we get our refrigerator fixed.  We're hitching up tomorrow morning to go have it looked at.  When we got home I took the rest of the stuff out of the very warm fridge and put it in ice.  Needless to say, we're not happy full timers right now.  But we knew going in that there would be ups and downs.

I have to agree with Jim on that RV and truck. I wouldn't want anyone to see ME driving it!

I don't know if this counts for kittens, but I remember being told never take a puppy for a test drive. Who knows their might be a furball in your future. Your rig looks great, even rain shouldn't hurt it much if you stay put. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

Katts make awful nice traveling pets. They're a lot easier than dawgs. Speaking from experience here - think about it, that's a real cute kitty!!! :-)

I'm very curious as to how much it costs to have an RV washed and waxed. Would you mind sharing how much you paid for the job?
Thanks
