Now in Goshen, IN

(Goshen, IN) - We took our time getting the RV ready for the move to Goshen.  Jim happened to remember that Goshen is on eastern time, an hour ahead, so we got moving  little faster and got ready in less than an hour.  The hitching process has really speeded up since we learned the trick of taping a short dowel to the hitch that I can see in the rear view mirror.  Works like a charm.  After driving around to the dump station and emptying our two weeks' worth of waste water, we hit the road.  The two-hour trip went very smoothly.  We checked in at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds.

These storage buildings are behind us. Not exactly a mountain lake vista out our back window.  :)

After we got set up we walked over to where Bob & Molly are parked in their beautiful Class A diesel pusher.  They've been here for a few weeks as members of the staff of the upcoming Escapade.  They're training to be the Directors for next year's Escapade.  We chatted a while and then went out to dinner at a small local diner.

When we got back we settled in for a quiet evening.  It's nice to have full hook ups and be able to use our shower all we want.  (We had electric only - no water or sewer - at Dunes State Park.)  I grew up in Warsaw, about 25 miles from here.  A lot of my childhood friends and schoolmates want to come and see our RV while we're here so I’m trying to schedule the visits.  It’s going to be a busy few weeks while here.   I’m loving it!

This sounds like such an exciting time for you, seeing old friends and schoolmates but the best is "shower all we want!" Woohoo! I'd like to know more about that dowel rod...maybe a pic for us newbies...K
