Just Didn't Feel Like Doing Anything

(Chesterton, IN) - We're both tired.  I think there is something to the age thing, just can't keep up the pace that we use to.  I'm sure glad we're not working eight to ten hour days.

We were going to do the laundry today, but we'll wait until tomorrow when we go to Rick & Laura's.  We're going over to watch Ellice play in a field hockey scrimmage.  She plays forward and is an excellent player.  She's hoping to get a college scholarship in field hockey.  Then we wanted to get groceries and go to the beach to just relax.  We got a late start getting the groceries, and a combination of being too late in the afternoon, and clouds rolling in, caused us to skip the beach.

Today's shopping trip was geared toward planning for potlucks at the upcoming Escapees Rally.  I got supplies to make some finger foods for the nightly happy hours.  My sister gave me a great recipe for taco fingers.

The rest of the afternoon was spent on the computers and napping.  We planned to go to a local minor league baseball game, but it was just too humid to be comfortable so we decided to stay in and watch the NASCAR Nationwide race tonight on TV.  We're lazy, but we can be, we're retired.

The following is from an email I got from Donna W., a follower of our blog. Thanks for sending it Donna.

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

1- Find the  C  below...do not use any cursor help.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2- If you already found the C, now find the  6  below.

This is NOT a joke. If you were able to pass these three tests, you can cancel your annual visit to your neurologist. Your brain is great and you're far from having a close relationship with Mr. Alzheimer.

This is weird, but interesting!

I found the "N" easiest, the "6" was next easiest, and "C"was by far the most difficult. And I can understand the funny spelling. I think I'm weird!

Wow! I was surprised at how quickly we found the letters and how easily we read the message. I guess we're well rested after our naps. :)

Whenever I see one of those scrambled letter paragraphs I wonder why everyone is so hung up on spelling! If I didn't have spell check I wouldn't be writing because on my own my spelling is atrocious!

Yes it had to correct that last word.

Have a nice weekend and relax.

I passed, I passed! Now what's my excuse for faulty memory? Hmmm...

I can read the paragraph with no problem, but I don't see the letters. None of them. Now I'm worried!!! So far my memory is fine, I think?
