Geocaching in Indiana – Meeting RVDreamer

(Fair Oaks, IN) – It was very humid today so we didn’t do much outside.  We both went for a walk, Jim did his 30 minutes and I did 15.  I took this picture looking toward the back of the campground.

I was looking for geocaches in the area and found two that are less than 10 miles away.  While looking for the caches online I found Pioneer Family Campground, which is not far from us.  It wasn't on any of the web sites we usually check so we didn’t know about it.  I thought I’d throw that out in case someone wants to check it out while in this area.

We had a dinner date tonight so we left about 4:30.  On the way we looked for the two geocaches.  We found one but couldn't find the other.  We’ll go back to look for it another day when we have more time.  We were in a hurry to get to TGI Friday's in Kankakee, IL to have dinner with RV-Dreams chatter Rick (chat room name Shiloh) and his wife Phyllis.  I met Shiloh four years ago when I was on the RV-Dreams chat room meeting a lot of people and learning about RV’s.  What a wonderful couple!  We had a wonderful time of food and fellowship.  They also paid for our dinner, so thank you so very much you two. We’ll meet up again when we’re in the area, when it will be OUR treat.  :)

One of the neat things about roaming around the country is seeing things out of the ordinary.  Here's something we saw on the way to dinner tonight, on Indiana Highway 10.

Now how did that tractor get up on top of that silo?

We got back home and relaxed for the evening, catching up on recorded TV shows.

Glad you got to meet up with RV friends. That is always fun!! I haven't been on the chat room in ages. I've had so many computer issues it is all I can do to comment on blogs, facebook and forums.
Looks like a nice campground...thanks for the link to
Pioneer Family Campground.

That's the question, how did they get that tractor up there?

Glad you enjoyed your time with Shiloh!

Must have parked that tractor over top of a silo seed and then never moved it for the winter. lol
