This morning we went over to my sister's for a cup of coffee and to sit with her awhile. She was in-between dog training today. While we were there we got the laundry done and watched the news about the oil spill on CNN. The President also did a press conference that we watched. I hope they get that oil spill stopped. CNN has a web cam on the flow of oil which today they were trying to stop by using pressurized mud and cement to stop the flow. I sure hope it works... they seem to be running out of options.
It looked like storms today, but they went around us. This is the time of year that there's pop up storms, so they come up really fast. We got just a short shower.
Jim watched some of his recorded shows and I caught up on blogs and chatted with my mom. We didn't do much today.

We are not NASCAR fans although my sister is big time. Never misses the race down in Dover, DE.
For a few years Len drove a tractor/trailer on Saturdays for a local nursery and other farmers. I usually went with him on deliveries. It was vacation money.
We left NJ headed to above Harrisburg PA to deliver a load of tomatoes to a processing plant. Above Harrisburg we noticed lots of people sitting along the roadside in lawn chairs. There apparently were also lots of yard parties going on. Even the AMISH were standing along the road in groups. This went on for about 60 miles. Lo and behold - it is a yearly ritual. They wait for the trucks CARRYING the NASCAR cars to pass on the way from Watkins Glen, NY to the next race.
Saw the same thing the next year. Now I'm not talking about a few people. I am saying the whole route had people by the thousands.
THis taught me that NASCAR fans are SERIOUS fans.
