We were up by 8am and after a cup of coffee, we were out the door to see Anna and Gale, an RV'ing couple that we met in 2008. I love meeting up with people that are on the road and Anna (galeanna) from the RV-Dreams chat room told me she would be in the area. She called last night and said they had arrived at the Cahokia RV Parque.
It's about 40 minutes to get there and we knew they had to leave the park by noon. We only had a few minutes with them, but it was so good to see someone we met when they first started out full timing. Thanks Anna and Gale for your time.
We went to our son's house to help him move a couple more loads of furniture to the new house. He had a friend helping today, so we didn't have to do a lot.
When we got back home, Jim started preparing for tomorrow's move. He checked the lug nuts and aired up the tires on all the vehicles. One tire on the RV always loses some air when we sit for a week or more. We plan to have that checked when we move back here from Troy, MO in a couple of weeks. We'll be making the move on a weekday so it will be easier to plan a stop at a tire shop. After making sure all the tires are in good shape he cooked some pork steaks on the grill.
Our son came over to watch the NASCAR All Star race. Frank wanted to have some rest after a day of moving. Jim is really enjoying spending time with Frank and watching sports together, just like years ago when the boys were growing up.
It looks like we'll have some really nice this next week. We've turned on the AC tonight with temperature up to 82.
