Checking out Hickory, NC ---- Staying at the Dealer

It was a great nights sleep and neither of us got up really early.  It's good to get in a motel room once in awhile, seems we're doing it about once a month lately.   After getting some breakfast we called the dealer to see what time frame we'd be on today.  We had an RV park about an hour down the road that we were going to if we could.  That wasn't going to happen, they got a late start in putting in the insulation so we didn't get everything completed till after 4:00.

To take up time we went by Hickory Motor Speedway.  We've been there a few times while living in NC in the years we were in the service.

It was fun watching them practice for the races tomorrow night.  I love local stock car racing, but we won't be here.  When we get to Illinois we'll get to go to the races with our son and grandsons.  That will be fun.

We walked around a mall that's close by, and that's all we did today besides play on the computer till they were done with the RV.

We're sitting in the dealer's lot for the night and taking off early tomorrow morning. It will be a long day through the Smokey mountains.
