We Made it!!!! -- Exhaustion has Set in

Jim has parked at the truck stop backing in with no problems.

What a great day! We got up at 7:30 got our breakfast and started hitching up. It just wouldn't connect so we had our guy help us with it. We had a couple little screws come out of the base above where the hitch is so they fixed that too. We stayed warm all night and things worked great, even the shower.

We got everything hitched and with nervous tummies we pulled out at 9:45am. We had no problems even stopping at a truck stop Jim backed right in with a little guidance from me. We were so pleased. We got to the Raleigh Fairgrounds at 1:45. While backing in, the back end of the truck clipped a little fence and knocked it over. No damage to the truck or the RV so all was fine. Just have to remember to watch the back end of the truck as well as the RV, which is hard, they're going in different directions.

I'll get pictures of our parking place later, but we are tired, hungry and want to get our mail and see if all is well at the apartment. We picked up mom and went out to dinner, then over to the RV to show it off to her. We'll have open house tomorrow. It's suppose to rain, so we'll have to be careful of the dirt.

We had a great day. Thanks to everyone that thought of us today. Now we'll be back and forth loading and selling and getting settled. Next Friday we'll switch out the bed, chairs and TV. We'll be moving to another area, but not sure just where yet.

The week has caught up with us. We're both exhausted. The shakes are over and all we do now is learn and drive to different areas.

Fun! fun! fun! Hopefully you'll get used to the bed quickly and start getting rested up!

Glad the bump with the fence turned out ok.

Oh, so glad you made it safely. The first time out on the road is a tough one. The rest will be a piece of cake.
Now you need to relax and catch up on some sleep.

Jim and Dee, Congratulations on your new Cameo, it looks great. I'm glad everything went well with your maiden voyage. It won't be long until you will be old pros at times to hookup and set up. Take your time and get comfortable with your trailer, I believe you will really love it. Look forward to seeing you on the road.
