Truck Loads 1 & 2 Ending the Day with a Surprise!

Hang onto your hats! This is going to be a blog of pictures and nice cool stuff for a change. Wow, what a great day!

I actually got up before 9:00 because we were moving today and it was going to be a hot one at just under 90 degrees. The guy came early for the cabinet that I posted on craigslist and found out he was the same guy that bought all my barn pictures. We didn't realize it till he saw me. That was neat.

We loaded up the truck with the first load and I grabbed the camera. Here's our apartment. This is the balcony the windows go to the living room (left) and the bedroom (on the right).

This is one of the two loads we took over.

This is beside the balcony the stairs aren't ours, we go in a door to the right in that wall. Nice breezeway which will be cold in the winter I'm sure. It sure felt good today.
Living room the door to the left goes out in the breezeway. Coat closet behind the door.
Looking to the right from the door. The door to the right goes to the balcony and another door from the balcony to the right is a storage area. We found another door in the breezeway with another small storage (that's where the Christmas stuff and tent went). The bar is the kitchen with the sink in it.
Looking outside the window toward the balcony and the storage.
Bedroom window. The washer and dryer goes in the closet, but we're selling ours and using the ones in the main office area. We can do laundry and work out in the gym which is in the same area.
HUGE walk in closet. This will suffice the storage for the RV stuff that we want to take.
Nice bath. Took us awhile to figure out the water for the shower/tub. It's that new faucet that you have to turn and turn and turn to get water.
Kitchen area. The refrigerator opens the wrong direction. Stove on the left and sink and dishwasher to the right. We really do love it.
We went to Verizon today thinking there wouldn't be anyone around since most people went to the beach or the mountains. We sure were wrong. Sandra (RV-Dreams chatter) mentioned last night it may be crowded, wow was she right. We only had to wait about 15 minutes so it wasn't really bad. I got the new Alias 2, Samsong phone, added the text messenging and got setup for the RV living. We didn't get the aircard yet, still too soon. I do have the contract for two more years but we've been with Verizon for many many years. Now I have to read the directions to figure it all out. One side you open for the phone and you open it sideways for the keyboard. It's neat, but I sure don't know how to work it at this point.

We settled down about 4:00 and my phone made a funny noise. I was working with it and just happened to hit the voice mail and there was one there. A friend of ours called to see if we wanted to go to the campground with them for a BBQ meal. Now how can you turn that down! We had the chairs and cooler at the apartment. We went to get them then grabbed some food at the grocery store. Jim got a steak and I got brats, I love my brats.

We found our friends with very little trouble (phones kept cutting out when getting directions) and found out they have a 26' Rockwood trailer. They've kept it a secret for over a year. It's really nice and we had a wonderful time with them. Here's the trailer.
This campground is huge and it's by Jordan Lake. It's only 30 miles from where we are in Cary. I took a picture of the map. It's open year round and has water/electricity but no sewer. It's a fabulous place for a few nights. Lots of room in the one they were in. Some areas are for tents only. We wouldn't be able to stay long but when we get ours it's someplace we can go and meet up with them.
Clara and Jim (not my Jim) cooking up supper. They got a couple tinfoil bbq's that come with the charcoal in them. We've got to check on that.
Jim and Dee, waiting for the food.
Jim and Clara ready to dive into a steak.
Thanks you two. What a surprise to a very hot hectic day. We'll do it again real soon.

DAYS TO CLOSE ON CONDO 11
Time left to get on the Road 22 weeks 1 days
(Just a reminder, this date is so we can get to Rockport, TX to meet up with RV-Dreams gathering by March 1)
