Phase II DONE - The Carriage Cameo is Ordered

We got up early, went to McDonalds for some breakfast and took off for Claremont, NC. It's over 2 1/2 hour trip to get to the Carriage dealer. No rain, but a lot of clouds.

We got there about 10:30. We found our salesman and went over the option order list. I'm glad there's email, it makes things so much easier. We picked out our interior colors (which is now the color scheme from the Cari-Lite model) and wrote the check. It was easy and no problems. We'll get the hitch when we do the PDI. The date isn't exact, the factory will tell us and approxmate date on Monday.

PLANS in motion:
1. We should have at least two months. We'll downsize some more and get ready for the move in.

2. I'll talk to the bosses on Monday and rearrange my hours a bit after November. I won't just quit, unless they decide to do that.

3. We'll move in fulltime a couple weeks after arrival.

4. We hope to be on the road by January 8. (Jim gets four weeks vacation that we'll use)

We have no idea after that date. We'll stick around if the weather is bad, or if mom still needs some help. We'll go to some campgrounds around the area if the weather permits just to get use to moving around with it. There's so much to do to get ready.

We also got a membership to Campers World when we stopped there to see what we need to buy. We did get a Voltage tester. We'll get more on our list when we pick up the RV. The dealer is giving us a small starter kit so we need to know what's included before we buy something we don't need.

This is going to be fun, and now we WAIT!

This will change shortly as soon as we get a final date of delivery.
Time left to get on the Road 20 weeks
(Just a reminder, this date is so we can get to Rockport, TX to meet up with RV-Dreams gathering by March 1)
