It's all about NASCAR today. It's the start of 2009 racing season and we don't ever plan anything on this special day (to us). The other special day is Memorial Day when the Charlotte 600 and the Indy race is on the same day. NASCAR has changed a lot during the years and this day is really sad. For the first time in 40 years there's no Petty member driving. Kyle gave it up this year. We went to the Petty's place on our honeymoon, that's how back we go with the Petty's. We still have the picture of Jim and him together. But, time moves on and racing has gone to the younger drivers.
All morning I got a list of stuff on Craigslist. Indian stuff that I've collected, barn pictures which is another collection. I also put up a CB and a ham radio. We fussed with the laptop all morning trying to get it connected to our wifi, finally got it after a couple hours. We're learning. I got everything done this morning that I wanted to get done before the race. Now I can work all week without feeling I'm being behind at home. I really do like deadlines, keeps me hopping.
I've been reading a lot about a guy that made an RV and traveling the US with four horses. Here's a couple links, just in case you haven't seen it. That's so sad.
This is his website to find out what he's doing/did.

I really feel for someone that's trying to do something different, neat and a dream and along comes tragedy. There's always a reason that we don't understand.
The rest of the evening will be watching the race and chat. I spent time with Bill and Sandra on chat today, it's the greatest way to spend time with friends.

That is terrible about Bob and the horsedrawn RV. I am so glad that someone is taking good care of his old dog, until he recovers.

I started reading his blog from travels from NH through VT, and then read about the accident, and especially the horses. I am just so sad I don't think I can ever go back and finish the blog.
Have not read that yet...will try to work it in. To let you know next week I go on the middle shift so I will be here at work when the chatting starts. Maybe I can stay on...but it will be like you chatting during the NASCAR race...I will be in and out all the time...
