What? It's time to get up? You're kidding, I just went to bed!! It was 7:45, wait it's THURSDAY, I HAVE to get up. I got almost to work and my boss called. I didn't have to go to the post office, in 15 more seconds I would have already been there so a quick turn toward the office was in order.It was BUSY today, trying to get projects in the mail, getting more names entered into the database that was lost in my bosses computer and still keeping the place in shape with filing and putting engineers plans filed.
I have to hand it to any of you out there that owns your own business. You have to do the marketing to get more business in, keep up with the work you have, the new coming in, have enough good people to handle it all and still do all the human resources, and miscellaneous office functions. My boss is trying to get a huge contract in for November, we hope he gets it, but sure is hard with the way the economy is these days. One of our engineers is quitting in a week, so we need to hire another person. He was only temporary and wanted a job closer to his home. He is driving an hour one way to get to our company.
I got home at 1:00 and went for my eye exam with the eye doctor I thought I was getting in the first place. My lenses do need changed but not in the way the test proved before. It will probably be another month before I get the glasses, but that's ok, I'm seeing fine with what I have, it's only the right eye that needs a bit more power.
It's a long afternoon doing puzzles and I'll get on chat later tonight. I have to leave early to get Jim from the airport. It will be good to get him home. I like having him around. We'll do just fine in the RV.
