Back on Schedule - Partial Eclipse

Shalimar, FL (Hi 82  Lo 56)

I came back home from Chicago on Monday and I was on the move back to my schedules on Tuesday. At 9:00 I went to the craft group and still working on the diamond art. I should be done with the first one in a couple more weeks. I had my last rehab/PT after a couple hours with the craft. I could barely walk. Every bone in me was crying out. I have trouble with the cold weather. It was 48 when I got up but did get to 55. I just couldn't get warm and was too tired to move much for PT. She gave me some ideas to work on and was happy I did as well as I did in Chicago with the walking. She dismissed me and told me to continue the exercises that is on the videos she made for me. I'm happy it's all over, a six week program. I can now balance better and I can do a lot of walking backwards and in circles with my eyes closed. Passed and done. Tuesday afternoon was meditation  then cards in the evening.

Wednesday:  I started the day with WII bowling. In the afternoon I had chimes practice. We don't normally have practice in the middle of the week, but we had a concert on Friday and didn't practice last Sunday because the leader was gone for the holiday weekend. I crocheted in the afternoon and got a family of ducks done. I still have one more set to do. (Click on the photo to enlarge).

Thursday: It was cloudy and rainy the past couple days and chilly. I decided to go to the crochet group in the next building over. There were a couple gals working on diamond art and the rest of us crocheting. It's basically a gab session but I do learn stitches from others that's been crocheting more years than me.  It's another card night with lots of laughs, there's been 8 of us the past couple days. It's a great time.

Friday: I got a haircut finally! It was getting too long. It's been almost three months this time, but I wanted it longer to keep warmer while up north.  I got my first HelloFresh meal delivery and what a mess. The box was so wet it was falling apart. I can't believe the UPS driver could get it to me. Inside the bags the meals were in were so wet they were open. There wasn't anything cool about it. The directions were wet and stuck together. I was disappointed with the meat it wasn't cold and I'm worried about food poisoning. I got hold of the company and they credited my account and I decided to order four for next week. Tammy showed me what she gets and has never had a problem. My son says it's because it's too hot in Florida. lol  If it happens again, I'll cancel it.

All the meat felt warm
The packs of gel ice were mostly melted. I just didn't feel safe with the meat. I'm glad they reimbursed me. Some of the ingredients were outside the bags, so I had to find what meals they went to, but couldn't read the directions, they were too wet. I kept what wasn't ruined and trashed the rest.

In the afternoon I had chimes concert at the Hawthorn House here on campus. It's our monthly concert and we all did very well. I use the music for the guitar playing too so the music has two purposes.  On Friday night I had zoom with the NC friends and we had laughs and a fun time.

Saturday:  The monthly village meeting was this morning and we had a great turnout. We're planning for the Halloween fest telling stories and a witches bike ride around the campus. We'll sit by the pool with the firepit and tell scary stories on 30th and have our village party on 31st. It's going to be a fun month.  About 1:30 I noticed the haze outside and remembered the eclipse. I bought eclipse sun glasses and took them out to see the partial sun eclipse. It was so clear. I couldn't get a pic but found one taken in our area.

I hope you can see it, that's how I saw it. but couldn't get it on camera.
The night ended with happy hour with a big group of gals all sitting outside. It was perfect temperature. When I got back to the apartment, I still had a couple hours to go to the airport to pick up my neighbor. The plane  came in at 11pm. I'll sleep later tomorrow morning. MAYBE. Another busy week coming up see you next week.

I did Hello Fresh about a year ago. But Len just wasn't eating so I cancelled. I started again 3 weeks ago. Everything has been perfect. I love that they bag the ingredients for each meal separately. And also that the recipes are printed. I tried another service and all the ingredients were just placed in the box and I had to go online for the recipes. This is so much better. I hope your recent box was just a fluke.
