The last update from hurricane Irma. All of our county has electric back. There's still flooding from a couple rivers in the low lands, but that's cresting this weekend and will slowly retreat. The stores have been stocked and it looks like everything is back to normal except the roof repairs and the sidings on some homes. There will be trees limbs picked up later but overall it's coming together and people are back to work. I wish I could say the same for the islands.
This was a week of birthday parties. We had a couple gals in the park that had a birthday, Cindy and Joyce.
Cindy, Joyce, with Sandy and Kathy
The food was great!
We had a good time with laughing and making talking about getting the world better.
Jim's birthday was Friday. We went to Manny's restaurant for his steak dinner.
He's a big Cardinal baseball fan so I found a shirt with all kinds of Cardinal stuff on it.
I've called all the vendors for the craft bazaar. All but three are participating. That's a total of 38 tables, two more then last year. The hurricane is causing conflict with some of them, they are trying to repair their homes. We're going to have a great turnout. I got the flyer done that will be passed out to restaurants and hobby stores.
A couple more "critters" I've made is snails.
It's still hot but fall is here, maybe if we're lucky it will drop out of the 90's so I can get back to doing things outside and shuffleboard.
See you next week.
