Last Day in Elkhart

(Elkhart, IN) Hi 81 Lo 66 -- We both slept sound all night but a storm woke us around 8:00. It was relaxing just listening to the rain on the roof and the thunder in the distance.

We needed a day to chill out. We've been on the go since we got here, and with it raining off and on all day we stayed inside watching TV and reading blogs. I was almost a week behind on news of what's going on with our RV'ing friends on Facebook. The electricity is still out in some parts of town due to the storms two nights ago, so we're glad we still have power here in the campground.

In last night's recap of the work we had done on the RV we forgot to mention how impressed we are with Fox RV, and especially the owner Larry Fox. It's a small shop, with Larry and two other techs. Their professionalism and dedication to customer service in the best we've ever seen. There is nothing they can't handle. They even do interior customizations, including replacing carpet with linoleum, and switching to residential refrigerators. We may consider both of those options in the future. Along with the work he did for us, Larry gave us many tips on RV maintenance. We asked him his opinion on the overall condition of Tumbleweed and he said it's in superb shape for being lived in for 3 1/2 years. That made us feel good.

While here in Elkhart we had a great time with my nephew Dave and his wife Tina. We saw friends in Clunette, and had a surprise visit from my sister Doris and my mom. It doesn't get any better than that!

Tomorrow we move on to Ohio. We're going to have fun with some of our friends from our winter park in Avon Park, FL, who are here in their northern homes for the summer. This lifestyle just gets better all the time!

Thanks everyone for following along. More fun is on the way. We feel better with the RV all checked out and in good condition.
